    Clinical Study and Treatment of Metabolic Syndrome in Chinese Medicine - Jiling Hu, L.Ac, OMD

    Jiling Hu, Licensed Acupuncturist, OMD, a native of Hu Bei province in China, received her medical degree at Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Central China. She completed her residency at Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated Hospital where she focused her training in Gynecology and Internal Medicine. Soon after finishing her residency, Dr. Hu entered graduate school at the prestigious Bejing University of TCM and the world-renowned Dong Zhi Men Hospital. She received a master degree in endocrinology and immunological disorders which integrated TCM and western medicine. After completing her graduate studies, she was soon promoted to attending TCM physician at the distinguished China Japan Friendship Hospital in Bejing. During her tenure there Ms. Hu treated a large number of patients, taught medical students, and wrote a number of medical papers on diabetes, thyroid disorders, menopause, and arthritis. Dr. Hu has traveled extensively around the world to teach acupuncture and is currently a professor at the Santa Monica Acupuncture School- Yo San University in Los Angeles, California. She joined the Santa Monica Acupuncture Clinical -Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine in December of 2002.

    Diagnose and Treat Prostate Disease and Male Infertility with TCM - Haihe Tian, A.P., Ph.D, MD (China)

    2 four-hour Sessions: June 20, 1pm-5pm EST

    Dr. Tian has studied Chinese medicine in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology for 11 years and graduated with Ph.D. He was trained under some of the most highly recognized and revered traditional Chinese medicine physicians in China. He began practicing and teaching Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture in America in 1997. Since then he has held many different professional positions such as board member of AAOM, committee member of doctoral program of CCAOM, and ACAOM site visitor. He has published various professional papers and over 20 medical books.

    • Common prostate disorders and male infertility factors (Prostatitis, BPH, Cancer, Reproductive system, hormones, etc.)

    • Analyze Western treatments for prostate diseases and male infertility (surgical procedures and Western medications)

    Hua-Bing Wen, Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, served as physician-in-charge at Beijing University¡¯s Department of Internal Medicine. He has conducted research in stroke and diabetes treatment with TCM, and published several papers. His private practice in Los Angeles specializes in internal medicine, with a focus on diabetes and related conditions. Dr. Wen is comfortable with complicated challenges. He spent two years following graduate school serving as a resident physician in the Emergency Room of Dong-Zhi-Men hospital, and another two years there as attending physician of Internal Medicine. Here he treated a vast number of patients, taught medical students, and conducted research projects measuring the effects of herbs and acupuncture on a myriad of diseases including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, as well as kidney disease and thyroid conditions. His scientific publications involve various areas such as diabetes, hypertension, stroke, and integrative chemotherapy with TCM therapy.Since 1993 Dr. Wen has made Los Angeles his home. In addition to his private practice in Beverly Hills, he currently serves as a faculty member of the Masters programs at both Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Emperor¡¯s College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Wen also proceeds to hold classes in TCM oncology, Advanced Chinese Internal Medicine, and Chinese Classics in Emperor¡¯s well-renowned Doctoral Program.
